Zarmine spent much of her life in Maryland, where she built a loving home and strong community around her family. Later in life, her husband, John Chamoun, and her moved to Charlotte.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John Chamoun, her three sons and their wives, Raffi John Chamoun (Talin), Joseph Chamoun (Bessy) and Paul Sevag Chamoun (Lourin), along with her cherished grandchildren, Elias, Emilia, Mary, and Enzo Chamoun. She is also survived by her siblings, Diran Jackmakjian, Avo Jackmakjian, Vartan Jackmakjian, and Sylvie Avakian.
Zarmine was a generous, kind, and deeply loving person who always put others before herself. She was humble, God-fearing, and devoted to her family. She had a passion for cooking traditional Middle Eastern dishes and pastries, bringing people together through her food and warmth. Zarmine studied fashion design and was a valedictorian in her high school class. She also found great joy in dancing, especially to traditional Spanish flamingo music.
She will be remembered for her selflessness, her strength, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her. Her family will forever hold close her words, “I love you to the moon and back,” a reflection of the boundless love she gave throughout her life.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. With the saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Your servant, Zarmine, where there is no pain, nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting.
May her memory be eternal -- Asdvadz Hokin Lousavore
