

Annie was born on May 15,1925 to the late Thomas and Hester Goode. One of nine children, she was always close to her brothers and sisters. She loved her family and spent her life as an example of faith and Christian love. She worked tirelessly to provide for her children and her dedication and sacrifices will not be forgotten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Zimmerman, granddaughters, Morgan Kendall Shiflett and Stephanie O’Neal Lambert, Sisters, Estelle Hensley, Mary Ellen Fewell, and Fannie Dowell, and brothers, Thomas Goode, John Goode, and Joseph Goode.
Annie is survived by her daughter, Linda Shiflett O’Neal (husband Gilbert), sons, Glen Shiflett(wife Laverne) and Todd Zimmerman, grandchildren, Dorie Mallory (husband Joe), Brian O’Neal (wife Jennifer), Matthew Shiflett, Justin Zimmerman, and Logan Zimmerman and great grandchildren, Lexi Mallory, Josie Mallory, Chance Mallory, Jacob O’Neal, Sierra O’Neal, Jackson O’Neal and Mackenzie Hoffman. She is also survived by her sisters Daisy Sampson, Joyce Jones and many special nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A visitation will be held on Sunday February 27, 2022 from 3-4 pm followed by a funeral service at Covenant Church of God, Charlottesville. Annie was a faithful member and the last surviving founder of the Covenant Church of God.
There will be a graveside service on Monday the 28th at 12:30 at Riverview Cemetery, Charlottesville
