Corrie Lee was born on June 6th, 1946 at the University of Virginia Hospital. She was preceeded in death by her husband, F. Everette Breeden Jr., father, Wade D. Jarrell, her mother, Ruth M. Jarrell, her granddaughter, Nikki Aldridge Palmer, her sister, Shirley F. Marks, and brother, William Delmar Jarrell. She is survived by two daughters, Angela Renee Shifflett and Lori Robey and her husband Donny, all of Palmyra, her granddaughter Macy M. Cash, two great grandsons, Alex and Jackson Palmer, her sister Dorothy Shiflett and her husband Gene of Earlysville, and a brother Carl J. Jarrell of Palmyra. She was a graduate of Albemarle County High School. Corrie retired from the University of Virginia Medical Center with 36 years of service. Corrie spent her life taking care of her family. Family always came first. She loved her home that her husband built her and took pride in making it beautiful and she loved gardening, cooking, shopping, and spending time with her daughters and family. She loved ice cream and pizza and the color pink. She believed in giving everything all she had at work and at home, and that carried over into her battle with cancer. She taught her daughters that you had to "push" through bad days and she beat the odds many times over, withstanding treatments, surgeries, and years of "pushing" that didn't seem possible, while always smiling and showing up looking beautiful. She was the center of her daughter's worlds. The family would like to thank Dr. Peyton Taylor, Dr. Leslie Blackhall and the staff of the University of Virginia Cancer Center, and her favorite buddy Dr. Sam in Radiology, for their years of wonderful, compassionate care, and also Tracy Morris of Legacy Hospice for her loving care. Also special thanks to her long time friend Reverend Ellen Longmoore for her love and support. Thank you to Ellen for being there for Renee and Lori, and for officiating the funeral service. Pall Bearers will be Donny Robey, Carl Jarrell, Dwayne Jarrell, Gene Shiflett, Bobby Marks, and Roy Shifflett. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am, Monday July 8th at the Teague Funeral home. The funeral will follow at 11:00 and interment following at Holly Memorial Gardens.
