Dear Alma,

Every time "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" comes up on my car radio I see Danny and pray that he is in a much brighter space.

Your loss is so very unique...having raised him....and his passing before you.  I am sure that days do not go by without a memory of him.

Know that I too share moments of Danny.

I  was thinking of Tom, Alma, Cristy, Jane and Dave today, and other family and friends. You lost someone you loved very much, and I am so sorry.  Danny had a lot to offer, and he faced some insurmountable challenges. I hope he is resting in peace. 

Danny's smile appears often.  I see the glint in his eye; his readiness to speak or ask a question; his feisty spirit.  I take solace in his passing knowing that was how he came to be at peace.

I must admit that the news of Daniels death has come as a big surprise. I was blessed with the opportunity to spend my formation years living praying and working with Daniel.  As we all know he was a pleasant guy always ready with a smile and something funny to say! May Daniels soul rest in the light and peace of Jesus. My prayers to the family.  Peace and all Good!

Please know the Grissmer family is in our prayers. I have many wonderful memories of what a thoughtful and caring person that Danny was. When my sister and I were younger, Danny would occasionally babysit us and it was always a great time, including biking through our neighborhood. I am very sorry for your loss and will keep you and Danny in ours prayers.

Dear Alma, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Danny as a sweet young man at Christ the King. I cannot attend the mass as I will be out of town. You and your family are in my prayers. May Danny rest in the peace of Christ Our Lord.

Alma and Tom, 
When moved into your neighborhood many years ago, Danny was in Second Grade. He rode his bike to our house and quizzed us. He asked if we had children. Yes, Katrina 6 and Monique 2. (Evan would come later.) He asked what religion we were and where would Katrina go to school. We told him Roman Catholic and Christ the King. ( Danny walked Katrina home safely for many years.) Finally, he welcomed us to the neighborhood and told us to meet his mom and dad. He said we would love you and become friends. Danny was right! We are so blessed to have lifelong friends. We love you Tom and Alma. Our hearts go out to you. We are praying for your family. May Danny Rest In Peace.

We are so heartbroken to have lost Danny. He was truly a kind hearted man. We have some really great memories of him that still make us laugh. Our prayers are with the family.

I didn't know that would be his last text to me.  Underneath all his struggles Danny was thoughtful and caring.

Dear Mr. and Mrs Grissmer
You are in my thoughts and prayers. This news saddens me. Danny was a great guy. I remember when I came to Christ The King in 5th grade he was the first one that made me welcome. He showed me around. Big hugs to all and lots of prayers.
