

David was born on April 4, 1957, in Port Jefferson, New York, to Franklin D. Moore and Jacqueline Howes Moore.
David is preceded in death by his father.
David so loved his family and friends and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Weixel Moore, children Michelle and Christopher Moore, his mother Jacqueline Moore, siblings Glenda Hinkley (Richard), Douglas Moore (Carol), and granddaughter Adalayah Moore.
David received a BS degree from Potsdam State and entered the US Army after completing ROTC at Clarkson University. He served as a Military Intelligence Officer for 20 years in Fort Bragg, Germany, Fort Lewis, and Washington DC. After retiring, he worked at the National Ground Intelligence Center in Virginia. He was alway active and excelled at hockey, soccer, and baseball in his younger years. After retirement, he enjoyed working on the house and yard, and spending time on Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh and Smith Mountain Lake.
His family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at The Blake, Memory Care, and Hospice of the PIedmont who provided him with loving and compassionate care.
A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
