George Theodore Waaser Jr.

Born on Long Island on August 28, 1927, he was the son of the late George Theodore Sr. and Elizabeth Waaser. He was also preceded in death by his son, Matthew Waaser, and his wife of 55 years, Rosemary Waaser.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna and Audrey (Matt); six grandchildren, Luke (Lauren), Adam (Jessica), Grace (John), Dominic, Philip (Alice), and Joseph; and one great grandson, Riley.

As a boy, George took up stamp collecting and remained a passionate collector throughout his life. He served in the US Army, in Hawaii, just after the end of World War II. He studied Actuarial Science at the University of Iowa and spent his entire career as an actuary and executive at the Equitable Life Insurance Company, where he met Rosemary. In his retirement he took up new passions for spoiling grandchildren and dining out with family and philatelic friends.
