

Janet Ann Parkinson, 56, of Charlottesville passed away on February 21, 2017. She was born on December 30, 1960, the daughter of Janet Sheehan Parkinson of Charlottesville, and the late David Ross Parkinson. She is preceded in death by her father, David Ross Parkinson of Portersville, CA, Uncle, Henry T. Sours of Richmond, VA, William Terrell Sheehan, Jr. of Staunton, VA; Uncle and Aunt, James Sloan and Emily K. Kuykendall, of Winchester, VA; Grandparents, William Terrell and Alma Elizabeth Sheehan of Staunton, VA; Aunt and Uncle Robert W. and Mary Ray Armstrong of Charlottesville, VA, and cousin, C. Randolph Beard Jr, of Essex Fells, NJ. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Linda Parkinson Lacy and her husband, Dave of Virginia Beach, VA; Uncle and Aunt C. Randolph and Mary Terrell Beard of Vero Beach, FL; Aunt Elizabeth Sheehan Sours of Richmond, VA; niece, Jessica Lacy of Newport News, VA; nephew, Joseph Lacy of Chesapeake, VA; cousins, Deborah Ames Beard of Vero Beach, FL and Mary Ellen Beard of Santa Fe, NM, and a host of other friends and family left to cherish her memory. Janet was a long time resident of Fairbanks, Alaska, before returning to Charlottesville for the last 5 years. She was a devoted daughter, and cherished sister, with a heart of gold for everyone. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Teague Funeral Home.
