John Samuel Elliton

John Samuel Elliton, 75, of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at his home. John native to Charlottesville was born on September 17, 1947 to the late Gilbert and Vernell Elliton. John was a proud veteran of the United States Army. After his service, John went on to work with State Farm for over 40 years. In his retirement, John earned his CNA certificate and worked at the Kluge Rehabilitation Center for over 6 years. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert “Buddy” Elliton, Jr. John leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Betty W. Elliton; his son, Kenneth Elliton; his sister, Linda “Susie” Payne and her husband, Jimmy Payne; his sister-in-law, Martha Robinson and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm – 1:00pm on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd. Charlottesville, VA 22903. A Celebration of John’s Life will immediately follow in the Chapel at Teague Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John’s honor to the Special Olympics of Virginia, Area 3 or Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.
