Marvin Macon Conley

He was preceded in death by his parents William A. Conley and Dora Shifflett.

He is survived by his life-long partner, Ann C. Darnell; children, Brenda Toney (Don) of Earlysville, Linda White (Dickie) of Greenwood, Gregory Conley of Louisa and David Conley (April) of Louisa; grandchildren, Dwayne Thacker of Schuyler, Larry Sipe (Jamie) of Pennsylvania, Travis Sipe of Waynesboro, Matthew, Ryan and Chance Conley of Louisa and Donald Toney, Jr. (Tammy) and Kim Toney (David) of Earlysville; and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Maxine Christian of Maryland and his loyal friend, Ronnie Rodgers of Keswick.

He retired from The Daily Progress after 50 plus years of devoted service where he started out as a paperboy when he was very young and worked his way up to ad processor. Dad loved watching his favorite teams (UVA, Washington Redskins and the Washington Nationals) play while drinking a good cold Bud Light with family and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at Riverview Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
