She was born on April 25th, 1943 in Charlottesville, Virginia, and was the eldest child of William Harmon Sr. and Lucy Jane Slaughter Harmon.
She was preceded in death by her siblings William Harmon Jr and Gertrude Harmon Scott, as well as her sister-in-law Robin Harmon.
Mary Frances leaves her loving husband, Sam Lewis, five sons Arthur, David (Joyce), Daniel (Margaret), Zachary (Nicole), Anthony, and one daughter Sherika (Shadell) to cherish her memory. She is survived by her brothers Tommy, James, Frank (Carolyn), Michael, and Matthew (Jennifer) Harmon as well as her sisters Madeline Hester (Robert), Donna Howard, Darlene Davis (Rick), and Lorraine Kenney (John). She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Union Baptist Church. The Rev. John F. Kenney will be the eulogist. Interment will take place at Holly Memorial following
the service.
