Two and a half years ago I found out some of the worse news I ever received; I lost one of my best friends. I grew to accept you were gone because I knew you were in a better place but recently your passing has been really hard for me. You truly were a good person and you had the power to change this world. Good people like you leave this world too quickly. I remember all the fun times we had in class and how we laughed at the dumbest things, talked about video games on the phone and then played those games together on the Xbox. Not a day goes by without thinking of you and The memories we had will never leave me and you will never be forgotten. Keep resting easy King.

I love you Michael and I really miss you. I wish you were still here but I understand why you chose to leave. These past two years have been hard and I appreciate all the signs you send me that you are still with me and watching over our family. I can’t wait to see you again and give you a big hug. I miss having adventures together. I still remember us going to Kings Dominion and you riding that huge roller coaster I was too scared to go on. That’s how you lived your life. You were always ready for whatever life threw at you. My life has been so dull without you and your positive outlook on life. I wish I could see your smile and hear your laughter. I miss talking to you and having fun together, hearing you play your guitar and being excited about your mustache that was coming in. I mostly miss you and all that you brought into my life. I love you so much more than I can express in words

Michael and i had gym class and english together this year, last year we had science together, and in 6th grade we rode the same bus. the last 2 and a half years i was so lucky to make memories with such a sweet and humorous guy. He was a good friend. It is so heartbreaking to have things so different now without him. I hope his family is doing okay. ❤️

I was Michael's kindergarten teacher in Fluvanna. He was very sick and wasn't able to be with us for the whole year. However, his soul touched me. He used to tell me that that he was going to grow up and be a jedi fighter and protect people. I know that he will be watching over his family and protecting them. I have kept the Christmas gift that he gave me and treasure it. He was a very special guy. Thank you for sharing him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Michael, We met in math class in 6th grade. You were a good friend. You struggled to breathe in cold air, but you always were strong. I hope you have a good afterlife.

Martinez family,
Words cannot express the sadness I feel for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing Michael when he attended Moss Nuckols. He was a good friend of my son Isaiah. He was a sweet and generous young man. I pray that you find peace during this time. Our prayers are with you.
