Born on June 7, 1917, Phyllis was a 4th generation New Yorker. She moved to Charlottesville three years ago.
Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Bobbi Crume of Tampa, FL and Sue Liberman of Charlottesville; two grandchildren, Steve Liberman and his wife Mary of Charlottesville, and Jane Amstey of Rochester, NY; and four great grandchildren, Kelsie and Matt Liberman, and Logan and Jordan Amstey.
A Masters Level Bridge Player, Phyllis continued to play until a few weeks before her death at 96 years old.
She passed peacefully at The Colonnades. The family wishes to thank the staff in Assisted Living at The Colonnades and Hospice of the Piedmont for their care and compassion.
A private celebration of Phyllis will be held at The Colonnades and in New York City with all of her extended family.
