

Ruth Ann Mundie, 77, of Burnley Station Road, Barboursville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Born on February 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jack Lewis and Sarah Frances Sprouse. Ruth Ann was a homemaker and member of Mt. Chapel United Methodist Church. Throughout her life she was a caregiver for many children and will always be remembered for her love of the outdoors and yard work. She leaves behind four loving children and their spouses, Dan Mundie and his wife Debbie Sue, Debbie Snow and her husband Mike, Sandy Williams and her husband Jeff, and Mark Mundie and his wife Cindy. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Brian Mundie and his wife Allison, Travis Snow and his wife Tara, Rachel Roach and her husband Leroy, Danielle Mundie, Sara Williams, Curtis Mundie, Tayler Snow, and Lyndsay Mundie; two great-grandchildren, Riley Mundie and Hadley Roach. She also leaves behind a caring sister Ruby Shifflett as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis L. Mundie and great-grandson Jacob. Brothers: Edward Sprouse, Henry Sprouse, Melvin Sprouse, Marvin Sprouse, Jack Sprouse, Jr., and a sister Catherine Sprouse. Her children would like to send a heart-felt thank you to the doctors and staff at Martha Jefferson Hospital for the care and comfort given to their mother and to Grace Health and Rehabilitation Center for the care given to her over the years. There will be a graveside service conducted at 2pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Holly Memorial Gardens.
