Ann was born on June 16, 1948 in Nashua, New Hampshire and was the daughter of Adrian Alfred “Pete” Rondeau and Mary Ann Hardy Rondeau.
She was a lifelong learner and enjoyed teaching others what she had learned. She taught students in Chatham Elementary and Middle Schools, retiring in 2009 to enjoy her grandchildren. Prior to teaching in Chatham, she taught in Acton, Massachusetts, Wilton Connecticut and Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
Ann was an excellent knitter and avid gardener, always having beautiful flower gardens.
Always ready for a new adventure, in March, 2000, she traveled to Alaska where she hired a bush pilot and followed the mushers in the sled dog race Iditarod. She had incorporated the Iditarod in her daily lessons for years because it was a competition that had women and men competing on an equal footing and lasted long enough to incorporate in her daily math, history and geography lessons. During her time on the trail, she used one of the first examples of distance learning in Chatham with her students via the Internet providing them with daily updates and telling them about what she was experiencing and what she was observing about how well the mushers treated the sled dogs.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Jacqueline Lorraine “Jackie” Milroy and Germain Alice “Terry” Moore and brothers John Francis “Sonny” Rondeau, Ronald Arthur “Skip” Rondeau and Peter John Rondeau.
Ann leaves behind her husband of 50 years Kirwan Morgan, daughter Kim Brisbois (Dave) of Danvers, MA and son Ben Morgan ( Heather) of Chatham, 5 loving grandchildren, sisters Inis Margaret “ Peggy” Gillette of Plympton, MA, Penny Alice Batchelder of Ocala, FL, and Lyn Mary Gallant of Pittsboro, NC, and lots of nieces and nephews.
