Catherine L. Bean

Catherine L. (Delaney) Bean of Chatham, formerly of Wellesley, 95, died on January 5, 2018. She was born in Medford, MA on February 6, 1922, to the late Jeremiah J. and Anna M. (Aymar) Delaney. Kitty was the beloved wife of the late G. William Bean, the loving mother of Judith E. Lodi and her husband Robert and William M. Bean and his wife Elizabeth. She was the devoted sister of Joseph Delaney, Anna Horigan, Francis Delaney, Lucy Ventura, James Delaney, Mary Baroni, Margaret Baroni, Jeremiah Delaney and John Delaney who all predeceased her.

She adored her grandchildren Robert Lodi Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Anthony Lodi and his wife Stephanie and her great grandsons Brandon and Benjamin Lodi. She loved keeping in touch with everyone including nieces, nephews, neighbors and dear friends. Kitty had many interests including braiding rugs, gardening, square dancing and volunteering at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

She greatly appreciated the excellent care she received at Liberty Commons and from Broadreach Hospice. Arrangements and burial are private.
