Roland Sturgeon Davis

He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He had a long career in construction. He enjoyed gardening and building furniture. He believed everything could be cured by Bag Balm and growing potatoes was a Maine thing.

Roland is predeceased by his wife Geraldine (Nickerson) Davis and his two brothers Robert Davis and Niles Davis. He leaves behind a brother Karl Dunakin of Harwich, a sister Joyce Price of Connecticut, sister in law Sylvia Davis of Maine, his children; David Davis, Shareen Davis and Gale Preston of Chatham, Denise Healy of Hyannis and Ansel Davis of Florida, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A private burial will be in Maine at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Liberty Commons for their kindness and caring during his final years.
