June Carpenter, a lifelong resident of Chatom, Al, age 60, born June 24, 1953 and died June 10, 2014. Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her husband, Jimmie Carpenter of Chatom, AL; son, Melvin Earl “Van” (April) Coker, Jr. of Lucedale, MS; daughters, Stephanie (Jeremy) Hathcock of Gulf Shores, AL, Crystal Evans of Irvington, AL & Jessica (Ryan) Smith of Ft. Campbell, KY; brothers, George “Buddy” (Becky) Carney, Jr. of Chatom, AL & Stephen “Steve” (Shana) Carney of Irvington, AL; sisters, Judy Norris of Chatom, AL & Joette Carney of Chatom, AL; grandchildren, Thomas Turner, Jereme Glasscock, Crimson Faulkner, SaVannah Coker, Rachel Coker, Chelsea Evans, Courtney Evans, Austin Smith, Dustin Smith, Emerson Smith and Ella Smith; great grandchildren-Thomas Turner, Jr. & Paisley Clements.
