To all my dearest relatives:
Once again we are all united in grief, this time for the sudden passing of our dearly beloved auntie Aldea.
She was the eldest of six siblings: all four brothers: Demetrio, Francisco, Ruben and Eustaquio predeceasing her, leaving Soledad, her only sister at 87, now the only survivor.
She lived up to the ripe age of 95 with all her faculties amazingly intact, a record breaking feat for a grand lady who was loved and revered by the third (nephews and nieces) and fourth generation (grandchildren) Valera-Mendez clan. Now that she is gone, we are consoled by the fact that she left us with a legacy of love, faith, hard work and passion for life. From our childhood, she built in us the foundation for good and clean living and even when she left us for a new life in America, she never stopped communicating with us, even sending her hard earned dollars to those relatives in need.
Her infectious laughter and loving concern to everyone will forever remain in our hearts. As the matriarch of the Valera clan, she kept the family bond stronger as ever and we are committed to keep it that way.
We will never forget you auntie. We love you so much. Now go fly with your angels in heaven where our Creator is waiting for you. May your soul rest in peace, our beloved auntie Aldea.

My deepest condolences and most loving prayers to your whole family. I didn’t have the pleasure to care for her for long but the one week I did share with her and the entire family was enough to see what an amazing person she was. I was truly looking forward to seeing her again. May she RIP and may you all find comfort in knowing she is with the lord and will be watching over you until you join her again. May god bless you all and be with you in these difficult moments
