He was born January 17, 1941, in Apison, TN to the late Lila (Poe) and Arthur Clinton Quarles, Sr.
He was a longtime member of New Haven Baptist Church.
Art was a retired police officer with the state of Tennessee.
His daughter, Susan Robinson and brother, Gary Wayne Quarles preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Regina Quarles; sons, Chris (Jennifer) Quarles and Clint Quarles of Chattanooga; daughters, Angie (John) Dempsey of Florida, Patti (Jason) Bennett of Texas, and Karen McLaughlin of Chattanooga; son-in-law, Wade Robinson of North Carolina; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Art’s wishes, there will be no public service.
