She was born to the late Pam Mottle and her surviving father Tom Mottle, in Miami, Florida.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband Joseph Richard, and their two children Mary-Jo 19, and Joseph 14.
Connie graduated from Clemson University. She married Joseph Richard in 1985, and they lived together in Miami, Florida before relocating to Ringgold Ga. this past year.
She will be missed eternally by all the lives she has touched profoundly. Connie’s intelligence, kindness and generosity showed no bounds.
Connie’s many talents included her ability to master many languages, and was an accomplished musician and professional writer.

A reception celebrating her life will be held Friday August 30 th between 4-8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home , East Brainerd Chapel , 8214 E. Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421.
A Catholic Mass and burial will take place Saturday morning at 10 a.m. The mass will be held at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 7111 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421. The burial will follow immediately afterwards at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
