Darryl Lee Leamon

We honor his passing with grateful hearts for a life well-lived, but also sorrow for the earthly loss we feel. Darryl was born on June 4, 1959 in Chattanooga, TN. He lived a life marked by humor, loyalty, and a gentle spirit that left an imprint on anyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His love for music was the soundtrack to his days. He was a talented artist and enjoyed oil painting and wood-working. In his later years, his devotion to the Atlanta Braves was unwavering and his fondness for old television shows like The Andy Griffith Show and Leave it to Beaver brought him countless hours of comfort, especially toward the end of his life.

Darryl was preceded in death by his loving parents, Herbert Lee Leamon and Nellie Evans Leamon, his beloved sister, Donna Leanne Leamon, and his great-nephew, Ryker Thomas Tucker. He leaves behind his devoted sister, Connie Leamon, who stood by him with steadfast love; his nieces: Lori (Peter) Brown, Kristen (Andrew) Pobieglo, and Hanna (Aaron) Tucker; his great-nieces: Lydia Wright and Amelia Pobieglo; and his great-nephews: Brody Wright, Elijah Pobieglo, Knox Fraterman, and Kolson Tucker. To them, “Uncle D” was a source of laughter, funny stories, and love.

Though we will miss his presence, familiar voice, and jokes of knuckle sandwiches, we rejoice knowing he is in the presence of Jesus and reunited with those who went before him. Darryl’s life was a gift and his memory will continue to shine in the hearts of those he leaves behind. May he rest in ever-lasting peace. “The Lord is near to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” –Psalm 34:18

The family would like to thank the staff of Ridgewood Manor Health and Rehabilitation and Hamilton Hospice for the love and wonderful care that was given to Darryl the last few months.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, located at 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:30 pm at the same

location.
