Ed accepted the Lord as his Savior as a child at Central Baptist Church, Woodmore, and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years.
Ed was a NDE supervisor at nuclear power plants throughout the United States, and worked extensively in Canada, Taiwan, and Australia. Spending time with his family and speaking to others about his personal relationship with Jesus Christ brought immense joy to Ed. His trust in Christ was a constant source of strength that he drew upon.
Ed enjoyed woodworking and was a ham radio operator, KF4NUZ, making contacts around the world. His true passion was trout fishing, and he spent countless hours studying and tying flies for fishing the Tellico and Hiwassee Rivers. He said he felt closest to God in the stillness of the trout streams, especially in the early morning hours just after sunrise.
Ed lived life fully and was a loving, kind, patient and generous person. Through his selfless gift of organ donation, his corneas will provide the gift of sight to two individuals.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Helen Sadler, Chattanooga, and sister, Sharon Sadler Rue, Muscle Shoals, AL. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Melanie Anderson Sadler, son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Tonya Sadler, sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Wales Standifer, all of Chattanooga, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
