Erhardt and I are the last survivors of our B-17 Bomber Crew. I last spoke with E J on New Year's Day and will greatly miss our monthly phone conversations. I have wonderful memories of the times we spent together. He was a great friend and will be missed by many!

We lost another Hero, Our dear friend WWII POW Earhardt Barnes. Mr. Barnes served as a technical sergeant with the 8th Air Force's 94th Bomb Group in WWII. He flew on a B-17 and during the 29th bombing mission the plane was shot down. Earhardt spent seven months as a prisoner of war. We were blessed and honored that you shared your amazing stories with our group. From all of your friends at the Chattanooga POW Chapter we will truly miss you.  "YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN".
