George Orville Moss, 88, of Chattanooga, TN, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Orville was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ. He was a retired CARTA driver where he was employed for many years. Orville is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Claudia Moss, along with 5 children, their spouses: (daughter) Carolyn and John Hinton, (daughter) Cheri and Dale Royalty, (daughter) Connie and Roger Winslett, (son) Steve and Vanessa Moss, and (daughter) Carmen and David Hodnett; along with 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Honorary pallbearers will be CARTA bus drivers. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Perry Hurst officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to Elmcroft Hamilton Place in memory of George O. Moss. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 E. Brainerd Road.
