Gladys Jean Branson

Gladys Jean Branson, age 77, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1947 in Compton, AL. Gladys had been a resident of Chattanooga, TN for the past 50 plus years, and was a devoted Homemaker.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Branson; father, James Newson; sister, Mary Alice Vaught; and mother-in-law, Helen Branson.

Those Gladys leaves behind to cherish her precious memories are her mother, Johnnie Newson; daughters, Violet (Mac) Sims and Devon (Wilkie) Smith; son, Victor (Shameka) Branson; sisters, Elizabeth Adams, Louise House, Teresa Walker and Vanessa McNeil; brothers, Ersell Newson and Dewayne Newson; grandkids, Kenneth, Gabrielle, Abril, Jaylan, Christian and Harvin; other relatives and dear friends.

A Visitation for Gladys will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm with Elder Demetrius Miller officiating.

Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
