OBITUARY
James L Dobbelaire
6 July, 1941 – 22 January, 2023

James L Dobbelaire, age 81, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. He was a former concrete construction worker for B.H. Yerbey.
Jim loved his Jesus and others well, whether it was someone in the ICU ward of a hospital that he was praying for or a homeless person that he was feeding a hot meal with an encouraging word. He knew how to represent the hands and heart of Jesus. James also spend many weeks in New Mexico helping work on projects on the reservations (tribal lands). And, he helped with the clean up after Hurricane Katrina. James treasured time spent with family and friends that turned into family. One of his favorite ways to show his love for you was to feed you!
James was a member of the congregation of Jamie Chant First at Covenant Life Worship Center, and most recently at Be Love in Ringgold, GA.
James is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a son.
Survivors include, spouse, Barbara Dobbelaire; sons, James M. (Bambi) Dobbelaire and Richard (Sandra) Dobbelaire; and daughter, Shawna (Jay) Sims; and numerous amount of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation for James will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Be Love Company (the Gathering Building) 2501 Pine Grove Road Ringgold, GA 30736 with service to follow at 2:00 PM with James Chant officiating.
