James Jenkins, Robert Phillips and Wendell Sims were best buddies at Chattanooga High School in 1973. I remember he played chess, was quiet and hilariously funny. He was also a genius.  Straight A's and Harvard bound he used to say. 
As I leave to attend what will be our 50th year High school reunion, I am saddened that I will not see his lanky frame and goofy smile tonight. I am so sorry to hear today of your passing, James. My husband and son are buried in the National Cemetary as well. I will visit you as I visit them RIP, sir.
