John was born and raised in Graysville, Georgia. He was a father, Paw-Paw, and great grandpaw. He loved fishing and being in the mountains on the riverside. By his side for the past 14 years and who he loved so much was his precious dog, Baby. John was a heavy equipment operator for the Swanson’s for many years and loved it. His family called him a jack of all trades. His friends remember him as the little boy with “Those Forrest Gump-like leg braces and suddenly like a miracle the braces were gone.”
John is survived by his precious dog Baby, daughter Summer and husband KC, Meloni and husband Zach, son Luke, grandchildren Autumn, Jacob, Raelynn, Ruby, Nate, and Liam, niece Gayle and husband Greg, and brother Terry.
John is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Dodson, father Kenneth Teague, sister Judy Youngblood, Bobbie Provins, Tommie Nance, granddaughter Shanna Bear, grandson John J.R., and great grandson Brantley.
