Mr. Hicks was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church and was retired from Ryerson Steel Company after 18 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Pamela Matthews Hicks; daughter, Stephanie (Bart) Parks; three grandchildren, Austin, Victoria, and Camden Parks; and sister, Juanita (Kenneth) Ellis, all of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The family will receive friends Friday from 3-7 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel.
