She was the daughter of the late Bud and Ruby Long.
Lois was an avid golfer having shot multiple hole in ones.
She was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Freeman Atkins, of Ringgold, GA, son, Bobby (Marie) Atkins, of Loganville, GA, daughter, Pamela (Ray) Mitchell, of Ringgold, GA, five grandchildren, Amy Harden, Kelley Lee, Adam Atkins, Justin Mitchell, Jennifer Mitchell, and eight great grandchildren, Abbi, Anna, Jadon, Juel, Britton, Kensley, Katelyn and Eric.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. F. Bobby Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the funeral home.
