Mary "Skyy" J. Wiley

Mary J. "Skyy" Wiley, age 71, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. She graduated from high school at Kirkman in Chattanooga, and she attended college at Chattanooga State Community College where she received a certificate in construction work. Skyy also later became an assistant driving teacher for Greyhound bus as well as a public school bus driver, truck driver, taxi cab driver, and many other jobs.

She loved music and singing. Skyy was a candy lady who loved plants. She always had the brightest smile.

Skyy is preceded in death by her parents, Henry James Wiley and Jessie L. Story; daughter, Shuntal L. Wiley; sisters, Maxine Allen, Gertrude Wiley, Dorothy Wiley, Jeanette Baker, and Marie Wiley Robinson; brothers, Henry N. Wiley, Henry Wiley, Robert Wiley (Cobb), Curtis Wiley, James Eskridge Jr., and Willie (BoBo) Brown; and very special friend, Yolanda Harrington.

Survivors include sister, Mary A. Jones; brothers, Curtis Wiley IIII, James Eskridge Jr. V, and Sonny (Sunny); niece, Linda Wiley King; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews, special friends, god children, and god nieces.

"Auntie I wasn't going to post. I've been in my feelings too much. I'm not going to speak in past tense because you're forever here with me in my heart. You are the most gorgeous, funny, amazing, truthful, giving, outgoing, protective, smiling, hustling, loving, put you in your place, positive person that I enjoy in my life. I thank the universe and the ancestors for allowing you to be my auntie. I didn't get my normal routine call this AM, but I did get to see your smile. I love you past the Heavens and past the stars. #1 best auntie award goes to you, Mary Jane Wiley, MY SKYY."

A lie in state for Mary will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404. Following the lie in state will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4016 Tennessee Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37410.

Funeral arrangements are made at Advantage Funeral Home on McCallie Avenue in Chattanooga, Tennessee already prepaid and bearing ground at St. Elmo.
