Some of the funniest memories I have of our grandpa were from his phone calls. We didn’t see him much and it has been a few years since we last talked but he was always making you laugh and smile even over the phone. He would always tell us he was too young to be a grandpa and that we needed to call him, “Uncle Grandpa Ruben”. If I’m not mistaken, I also remember learning some of my very first bad words in Spanish from him. He was a one of kind man for sure and he will be missed by many. ❤️

Dad, I saved your voice mails, I listen to them every day and now more then ever. I will miss you calls every other day and your humor.

Tio you'd always get into with dad.  But somehow the both of them made up and were inseparable. Together they were trouble.  This picture here, was one of my happiest day.  I was able to visit and talk to him. When I left, you called me and told me: hey, you forgot something.  And I was l did, his reply was ME!!  That melted my heart!  Tio, we will always have good times to remember and forever cherish them!

I stopped to visit, I enjoyed every second. I will never forget he took us to the beach with my cousins.  Well we had a good time, till dad came took us home.  Let's just say, Tio didn't have permission to take us to the beach.  My Brother and I still laugh about it.  As I received a whoopin and my youngest brother did not!!  Tio, you got us, I mean Me in trouble!!  LOL
