Born November 22, 1933 in Cleveland, she grew up in Cleveland Heights before moving to Chesterland in 1960. Joanne was an extraordinarily respected librarian and teacher with the Cleveland Public School System for 20 years, retiring in 1996. After retiring she volunteered at the Geauga County Public Library, the Berkshire Elementary School Library in Burton, and also tutored many area middle and high school students in English and math. Joanne was also a longtime and active member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Chesterland. She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob”; sons Mark (Chris) and Maurice; grandchildren Corey (Callie) Buczkowski and Alison Graham; great-grandson Myles J. Buczkowski; and sister Phyllis Brown. Joanne is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Maime (nee McGlaughlin) Atterholt. Private Services and Interment at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
