

PAUL J. WISELEY, age 96, passed away peacefully of pneumonia Tuesday, January 9. Beloved husband of 70 years to the late Marcelle D. (2013), loving father of Sarah Wiseley Croley (of Novelty) and Peter Wiseley (of Chardon), cherished grandfather of John Paul Croley (of Savannah) and Kate Croley (of Los Angeles), close brother of Barbara (Charles) McCarthy (dec.), dear uncle of Susan Katherman (of Columbus), Steven Katherman (deceased), Dennis McCarthy (dec.), Kathy McCarthy (dec.) Susan McCarthy(Kenneth) Fiori (of Sheffield Lake), Timothy McCarthy (of Chesterland), best friend of John Buren (of Lyndhurst) and Jack Tongring (of Toledo). Known by many as a teacher, assistant principal, and Unit B principal at Monticello, Wiley, and Cleveland Heights High from the 1950s to the 1980s, Treasurer of Cleveland Heights Teacher’s Credit Union for 44 years, an estate attorney still practicing into his 90s, a big band DJ on WKHR 91.5 for 28 years, and a Kiwanis volunteer for 30 years. He will be remembered for his love of people, sense of humor, an unparalleled work ethic, love of tennis, golf, card games, OSU football, music, socializing, and his responsible and admirable care for his family. Family and friends will gather for Visitation and refreshments at GATTOZZI AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 12524 CHILLICOTHE RD. (RT. 306, N. OF MAYFIELD RD.) ON MONDAY, JANUARY 22nd, 4:30 – 7:30 PM, WITH FAMILY TRIBUTES TO PAUL AT 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Church of Saint Anselm, 12969 Chillicothe Rd. Chesterland. A reception at the church will immediately follow Mass. Private Interment All Souls Cemetery.
