RONALD W. SCHMIDT died on May 24. He was 84. Ronald was an officer and pilot in the U.S. Navy and proudly served in active and reserve duty for 20 years. He is a graduate of Orange High School, The Ohio State University and University of Michigan. He also attended Miami University. Professionally Ron was a data analyst and worked for business throughout Cleveland. He was involved with numerous civic and community activities including the West Geauga Kiwanis. He enjoyed sailing, Cleveland sports, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 year Charlene. He is survived by his son David (Kathryn) Schmidt, daughter Kristin (Brett) Gover, and grandchildren Patrick and Christopher Schmidt, Lucas and Claire Gover.
