(Mary) Corona, (late) Rudolph “Rudy” (Marjorie) Corona, Armida Winsauer. Fond Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Best friend to Ginny and many others. Cherished her next door neighbor Richard and Joan Cooper as family. With deep appreciation when mom could no longer attend mass her neighbor Roy would visit her on Sundays to read her the Sunday scriptures and receive Holy Communion.
Alma was a devout Catholic and long time parishioner at St. Viator Church. After retiring from the Chicago Public Schools, mom became active with St. Viator’s Spread Group for many years; assisted when it was her group’s assigned time with counting Sunday collections along with preparing food to be sent to the Men’s shelter. Mom loved to read until this past year when her eyesight started deteriorating. Enjoyed sharing stories about her younger years; her wonderful marriage to Dad and sharing her experiences of all her European trips. She loved being with her children and grandchildren. You could always count on Mom to be a good listener; give good advice and that she would always be there for you. Mom always said “love you more” when parting ways. We will miss you, Mom and Gram. You are forever in our hearts.
Contributions can be made in Alma Corona’s name to St. Viator Church, 4170 W. Addison Street, Chicago, IL 60641 (stviatorparish.org)
