Andrew was born in Gorlice, Poland on June, 29, 1950 to Czeslaw and Czeslawa Grabowski. After arriving from Poland at the age of 9, Andrew attended Saint Hyacinth Grade School and Carl Schurz High School. He was a resident of Chicago and Morton Grove for the remainder of his life.
Andrew was employed by Super Electric Construction Company for over 30 years and was an avid motorcycle rider. He was a member of the Jersey Pine Cruisers motorcycle club and for twenty years participated in numerous charitable efforts including the Patriot Guard, Toys for Tots, and Sandy Ride for Diabetes.
Andrew is survived by his daughter Gretchen; brothers Mark (Linda), Jack (Katherine) and Konrad; nieces, Lora (Joe), Marta, and Kristine (Justin); nephew Michael, beloved Aunt Lottie Hytros, great nieces Avery and Addison, and numerous cousins and lifelong friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at Malec and Sons Funeral Home located at 6000 N Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago on Friday, February 26th from 5:00 until 9:00 PM where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm. A chapel service will be held at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 700 N River Road, Des Plaines, Illinois on Saturday, February 27th at 10:00 AM.
