Art L. Fabino, lovingly known as “Coach Art,” was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He lived a life defined by service, devotion, and community, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be cherished for generations.
Art was the adoring and devoted husband of Adrienne Fabino, with whom he shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and friendship. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and close friends, moments he treasured deeply and made the center of his life. He was a proud and loving father to his daughter Tammy, a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren, a great-grandfather to eighteen, and a great-great-grandfather to one—each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. He was also a fond, loving uncle and mentor to many nieces and nephews.
A dedicated patriot, Art proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force for 20 years before retiring. His service to others continued throughout his life, and he was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Following his military service, he continued his strong work ethic and commitment by working at Wrigley Field for 19 years, where he remained until his second retirement.
In his personal life, Art treasured time spent traveling with his beloved wife and their close-knit “cruise crew,” exploring many destinations together, including memorable trips to Italy. These adventures reflected his love for life, laughter, and togetherness.
Art was affectionately known as “Coach Art” to countless young lives through the G.A.B.C. Boys Club, which he founded alongside his wife Adrienne and his brother and sister-in-law. Through coaching and mentorship, he made a lasting impact on his community, teaching values of discipline, teamwork, and respect while offering guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support.
Art L. Fabino is now reunited in heaven with his beloved parents and brother, as well as many close friends who went before him. He will be remembered for his generous heart, steady leadership, deep love for his family, and lifelong dedication to serving others.
