A proud graduate of the University of Illinois, Bonnie devoted her career to the Chicago Public School System, where she inspired countless students and colleagues with her passion and commitment to education.
Bonnie had a love for adventure and challenge, enjoying hobbies such as skiing and marathon running. She will be fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit, determination, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her brother, Robert Eick, and was predeceased by her brother William Eick (Josephine). She was cherished by her nephew, Sean Eick (Tara), her late niece, Shannon Eick Veenstra, and her great-nephew Grant and great-niece Jamie Veenstra.
An interment took place at Ridgewood Memorial Park Cemetery on January 16, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Bonnie’s memory.
