Carol Burke Brimstin

Carol graduated from Oberlin College with honors. She was an avid reader, loved to cook for others, enjoyed singing, and cherished spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her compassionate spirit. She faced her breast cancer prognosis with courage, hope, and faith.

Beloved wife of Paul Vincent Brimstin for 40 years, loving mother of Meredith (Michael Weingartner) Martin, grandmother of Anna Elizabeth Martin. Dear sister of the late Gail Burke Baum; sister-in-law of Patti (Dan) Gillespie and Michael Brimstin. Aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many.

Visitation Thursday, Sept 1, 4-8pm, Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, 60625.

Second visitation Friday Sept. 2, 10am (11am mass), St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2215 W. Irving Park Rd.

Burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.
