Deborah Ruth Moench

Irma was born on April 3, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio. Predeceased by her mother, father, two sisters, and is survived by her niece & nephew. Irma lived in Chicago since 1980.

She spent her weekdays at the law firm of Levin & Perconti in Chicago as an administrative assistant for 22 years. Irma moved to Wesley Place Nursing Home in Chicago in 2016 after her stroke, where she wrote an “Ask Irma” advice column & shared her wisdom with other residents.

Irma’s passions included being involved at The 12 Step House, sobriety date April 23, 1994. At Ignatia House in Chicago she served on the board of directors, obtained grants, and helped out in many ways. Irma also enjoyed working on the Archive Committee for CASO. She enjoyed shopping, dining out, having a wonderful time with her many friends, and living life to the fullest.

Friends and family will gather for Irma’s Celebration of Life being held on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625.
