Eligia Reboyras

Eligia Reboyras, 95, of Chicago passed away peacefully Friday October 17, 2025. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on June 25, 1930, to Eduviges and Juana (nee Roman) Arroyo. She is finally reunited with her husband of over 65 years, Ramon Reboyras. Eligia’s storied life began in rural Lares, Puerto Rico where she met Ramon. She is the loving mother of Ramon Reboyras Jr., Ariel (Allie) Reboyras, and Lilibeth LeBlanc. Her grandchildren Ariel Ramon Reboyras II, Allyson Reboyras, Vanessa (Grant) Weaver, and Eddie Ramon Perez (Ashley) were her greatest joy. Eligia also treasured her great grandchildren Anthony Ramon Perez, Layla Santiago, Cecelia Weaver, Josalynn Santiago, Daniel Ray Reboyras, Gemma Weaver, and Lucia Weaver. Throughout her life, she raised many children from her home as a trusted child-care provider touching many generations. As a pillar of the American Dream, Eligia 95 years of life leaves a legacy written in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family.
