

She is survived by her loving parents Juan Garcia and Sara Tobar and her loving sister Kathy Tobar.
Emily will be cherished as a vibrant young woman whose humor, devotion, resilience, and selflessness touched countless lives. She was inspirational, generous, brave, and deeply thoughtful someone whose presence brought warmth, meaning, and light to those around her.
She found happiness in life’s simple joys and had a passion for staying active, especially enjoying soccer, basketball, swimming, and bowling. These interests reflected her energetic spirit, determination.
A true fighter and her mother’s hero, Emily showed remarkable strength and courage throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and the impact she made will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634, US, on March 24, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Interment will take place on March 25, 2026, at Mount Olive Cemetery.
