Ethan E. Taylor, 19, of Chicago/Evanston, IL passed away on January 24 2026 from a severe allergic reaction surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was born on July 13, 2006 in Evanston, IL to Brian Michael Taylor and Peggy Jean Taylor (nee Doyle).
Ethan was loved dearly and will be deeply missed.
Ethan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He made you feel loved and cared for and he had joy and love for the Lord.
He was wise beyond his age and if you talked to him you would be fascinated by his knowledge of so many things. He was a sophomore in college at Wright and planned on continuing his education at UIC to be an Urban Planner. He had so many dreams and wanted to make it a better place. Ethan worked and made friends at Waterway where he liked to make it a fun enjoyable day. He tried to save his money, enjoyed his investments and stocks, understanding every detail of it. Ethan attended Evanston High School, Edgebrook Elementary school, and Pierce Elementary school. Where he met so many great friends who he kept close over the years. Ethan loved nature and spent much time doing so many outdoor activities. He really liked going to the Botanic garden and all of nature's beauty. He especially loved playing golf as he got older. One of his dreams was to open a golf stimulation place, he thought and planned every detail and the business or finances of it knowing how it would excel. Ethan loved hockey and played many years for Evanston Hockey, making great longtime friends and having many memories of the fun times together. When he was younger he played baseball, enjoyed bike riding, roller blading , kayaking and liked to climb trees. I would have to look up to find him. He loved the feeling of being up high and felt at peace. He enjoyed playing cards, chess and board games treasuring the time he had with his family and friends.
Ethan would put others before himself wanting to encourage and help others. In his final act of kindness, he became an organ donor. His heart, liver, kidneys and pancreas helped to save lives.
Ethan you are still around making it a better place and you are a part of all of us. How fitting as how much you liked the song, A Song To Sing “YOU are a part of Me, You're the heart of me, together we can write a song to sing and in that melody you are the harmony that you just can’t find anywhere.”
Ethan is survived by his beloved parents Peggy and Brian; his cherished grandmothers Patricia Doyle and Charlotte Taylor and many other loving extended family and friends. He was preceded by death by his grandfathers Michael Doyle and Ronald Taylor and his cousin Ella Doyle.
I share with all of you his last words, "let’s accomplish our goals together and I love you! <3.”
With the Lord by our side while Ethan’s watching from above and in our hearts we will do much. Giving all the Glory and thanks to the Lord!
