

She emigrated to the United States in 1957. She was a long-time employee of Zenith Electronics corporation.
Loving wife of the late Alex Stelmach.
She was preceded in death by her parents Antoni and Teofila Jedynak.
She was the youngest of 8 children, preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Joseph Jedynak, Emily Jacobs, Helen and Alex Stelmach, Andrew and Stephanie Jedynak, Mitchell and Violet Jedynak, Edward and Josepha Jedynak, Walter, Zina and Alfreda Jedynak.
Loving aunt of Christine Jedynak and the late Theresa (Janusz) Partyka Jerome and Lina Jedynak, Greg and Erica Partyka. Fond sister-in-law of Czeslawa Jedynak. Friend of the late Jadwiga Fillman, Janusz and Magda Fillman, and many cherished others.
Genevieve was a long time resident for 32 years of Sarasota Florida. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, dancing, playing cards, swimming, and getting together with friends and family. As well as strolling along the sandy beaches with her husband Alex.
She will be truly missed and, in our hearts, always. With her deep faith in God attending mass and involvement in church activities.
Visitation will be held at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, US, on April 23, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, followed by Final View and Prayers at Malec & Sons Funeral Home from 11:30 am to 11:40 am.
A Funeral Service will take place at St. Constance Catholic Church, 5843 W Strong St, Chicago, IL 60630, US, on April 23, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with a Committal Service at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714, US, on April 23, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
