Helena Janicki, nee Giba, age 85, passed away on Dec. 1 2012. Beloved wife of the late Zbigniew. Loving mother of Barbara (late Michael) Moroz and George (Kristie). Proud Babcia of Dianna (Donnie) Webb, Caryn Runowiecki and Stephanie, Christopher and Gregory Janicki and Great-Babcia of Roman and Riley Runowiecki and Paige and Jason Janicki. Dear sister of Brother Andrew Giba, OFM, Joseph (late Theresa) Giba, Jane Nogas and the late Stanley (Helen) Giba. Sister-in-law of Bolesław (Wanda) Janicki of Arizona and Aniela Janicki and the late Robert Janicki, both of Australia. Fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Antoni and Anna Giba. Member of Koło Wołynskie and two rosary societies. Visitation Wednesday, Dec. 5, 3 to 9pm at Malec and Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave. Chicago. Funeral Thursday, beginning with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15am, proceeding to St. John Brebeuf Church for Mass at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
