Dear Neda and Dada,

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Being in America, Hrvoje was my HERO and I always wanted to settle in America and, of course, to  meet him. When I was groving up grandma Mimi would often visit us and I heared many childhood stories involving my mom Vera, Hrvo, Bero, Blanka, and many other relatives, stories now living in Hrvo's book “Libar roda mog”.

I think was year 2001 when, I was traveling on business to Chichago and took the opportunity to meet with Hrvoje for the first time. I was alredy living in Canada for seven years. We spent a wonderful evening. We said goodbye around 3am and I went to pickup my rental car from the nearest grocery store parking. The parking lot was empty! I was totally lost, 3am in Chichago, how will I find my car....I rang Hrvoje's bell. When he came out, he lit the sun at 3am and we went to pick up the rental from the towing company. But there was a secound surprise, the towing guy didn't accept credit card, cash only and I had ony $20 in cash. Lucily I had Hrvoje!
