Scott was born in Arkansas on July 29, 1963 to Charles Timothy “Tim” Kibler and Shirley Kibler, née Ross. He is survived by his children, John Kibler, Daniel Kibler, and Olivia Kibler, all of Chicago, his mother Shirley and partner John Wimsatt of Bellevue, Kentucky, and his sister Lisa Kibler of Cape Coral, Florida.
Scott married April Kibler, née Monti, and they raised three wonderful children. Although their marriage ended, they remained lifelong friends. Scott is survived by his domestic partner Anna Dabrowski Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his father Tim and his sister Laura Rennegarbe of Nashville, Illinois.
Scott graduated from Mount Vernon Township High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in geology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He worked at Columbia National Bank in the 1990’s before embarking on a new career as an appraiser and home inspector.
Later in life he showed his compassion for helping others while working as a contractor for FEMA all over the United States. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching sports (especially those his children played), collecting knives, watching movies, listening to music and playing guitar.
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 1 at Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest, Illinois at 9:30am, with the memorial service following at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to the American Cancer Society in memoriam of Scott.
