I’m very sorry to just hear about the passing of Jim. My Father, Bruce along with my Uncle’s grew up with the Tarasievich family. Growing up I fondly remember when Jim would be over at our house or we would be by Jim’s house as him and my father would trade labor for one another along with laughing amongst each other then shooting the breeze. The same similar memories go with Tom as well! My deepest condolences to the Tarasievich family. Jim was such a kind soul and a great man. May he rest in peace and now be re-united with my Dad and my Uncle Brian.

Just found out about Jim, so sad to hear, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Pittsburgh avenue would not have been the same without you all.


My deepest condolences to the Tarasievich Family.  My Godfather Jim always had a smile to give.  I remember running into him during my high school years on the Chicago "L" train and getting a warm hug and a friendly smiling face to brighten my day!   What a beautiful legacy he created.  He will be missed.

I never knew Jim personally but I got to know  what kind of caring man he was through his family's photos and stories.  He truly was a man who loved his family and especially his beautiful grandchildren. Prayers are with all of you as you go through this time of sadness. 

Please know that Mark and I are praying for you during this difficult time.  May your memories and being with loved ones, help you through the following days. We were blessed to have known Jimmy. His smile, his laugh, and love of life made our lives so much richer.

Our world seem's so diminished with new's of the passing of that "Great Soul" i knew as Jimmy. Such a fine, decent man. It was my good fortune an pleasure to call my friend f 4 almost 50yrs. I met Jim, along with  his joined at da hip shadow, our buddy JoeZ. In da mid 70's when we joined da same softball team. Playing ball with those guy's were some of the happiest day's of my life. As r da memories of them. As anyone who played ball knew, half da game was at da bar 4 pizza an beer's later on. When we would rehash gm. An point out everyone's fault's an foible's. Except when it came 2 Jim, cause u couldn't find any. Not 2 worry, alway's plenty of blame to go around. Jim could cut thru all da bs. Astonishing considering that was da makeup of r team. All bullshitter's! A great teammate Jim was, alway's gave 110% especially da time he broke his thumb trying 4 a ball over his head.yike's!!  Nothing but fun,all dem yrs.were. cep't dat part. Then he met his life's love Debbie, an started raising his family. After r day's of ball was over, i usually saw Jim at our annual golf outing's an we alway's jus picked up where we left off. Iv'e never met a nicer man. To Deb an his children whom he loved so much, an all his relative's an friend's, i mourn with you for this loss. God bless you Jimmy!!! Keep a seat in da dugout 4 me,an put da beer on ice.when our team get's back 2gether again let's play it all over again,an again, an again.
 

Jim first was always the life of the party. He loved his family. He cared about other people before himself. He was a good man, a good husband, a good brother father grandfather he fought a hard battle and now he’s their angel looking over them, sending love and prayers and sympathy to the family. 

Our deepest sympathy for the family of James.  May he rest in peace. 



 I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  My mom considered Jim her second son :) I never saw him without that  smile.

The driveway will never be the same. We love you Jim, and will miss you every day we step foot outside. Indian Road kids of my generation and now our kids, are lucky to have had you in our  lives.  We find peace knowing you are mowing the lawn in heaven ❤️
