Jason “Jay” Barnes, age 44 of Chicago, Officer of the Chicago Police Department, passed away on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024. Jason is the loving dad of Britney; dear son of Mary; beloved brother of Gloria, Robert, Joshua, and Jeremy; loving uncle and dear friend of many.
Jason was honored to serve the Chicago Police Department for over 20 years, and also the United States Army National Guard. A visitation will be held at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Avenue, Chicago, Illinois on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm with the St. Jude Police League prayer service at 7:00pm. A visitation will also be held at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, from 9:00am - 10:00am. A chapel service with Pastor Jamie Deuser officiating will be at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Mount Olive Cemetery, 3800 North Narragansett Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
